Albay Gov. Bichara issues guidelines on engaging in outdoor, water recreational activities

Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara has issued new guidelines regarding the expected public engaging in outdoor and water recreational activities this Lenten season.

This order also covers hotels, public and private resorts during this long holiday in the observance of Holy Week.

In order to prevent transmission of COVID-19 during this time of pandemic and to promote public safety, the following are hereby ordered:

1. All city/municipal disaster risk reduction and management offices and BDRRMC should maintain close monitoring of resorts and hotels in their respective area and take all preparedness measure to respond to any untoward incident.

2. Operators of resorts both private and public including hotels and other recreational facilities must implement and observe existing health protocols [physical distancing and wearing of masks]; and establish/maintain hand washing stations with hand sanitizers located in conspicuous locations. Any Covid19 positive result of visitors/guests found in their area due to the establishment’s negligence shall be a ground for temporary closure and lockdown.

3. Guests and visitors that are symptomatic of Covid19 must be reported to BHERT, DRRMO, MHO or the nearest health authorities.

4. New arrivals from outside the Bicol Region shall report to barangay or LGU of destination for profiling. Profile documents must be submitted to BHERT at 12:00 NN, 6:00 P.M., 12:00 MN and 6:00 AM for appropriate evaluation and corresponding action when needed.

The order also added that registration to Albay GETPASS is required to facilitate contact tracing.

“The public is advised to observe health protocols [physical distancing and wearing of masks]; avoid unnecessary movement/travel and group gatherings,” Bichara’s order read.
