San Fernando Mayor Fermin Mabulo offers solution to flooding

0 107

The country may be feeling the summer heat, but San Fernando Mayor Fermin Mabulo is already preparing to address floods.

In a Facebook post, Mabulo listed the measures he would take to curb floods.

One is to construct a river outlet. He said he would ask land owners to make a little sacrifice and allow the use of their property for this.

He would also undertake a massive river clean up activity, and those who would work on this would be given 10 kilos of rice per day.

Another measure is to strictly prevent the throwing of trash in the river, and a fourth is to plan more trees in the mountain.

For his fifth plan of action, he advised residents in low-lying areas to think of moving to another place.

He said the town offers a relocation site in Bgy. Tagpocol, and those interested just have to visit his office.

Hopefully, San Fernando won’t see much flood when the rainy season comes!

“Baha ba problema nyo?

Pangalawa, magsasagawa tayo ng massive river clean up activity.
