Legazpi Councilor Vince Baltazar says he has been calling for IATF reform since last year
Legazpi Councilor Vince Baltazar couldn’t help but react to recent calls to abolish the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease due to the most recent surge of COVID 19 cases.
In a Facebook post, Baltazar said that even at the start of the pandemic, he has been saying that the IATF should be composed of medical, health, virus and economic professionals and other related professions for its advisory council.
The IATF is now drawing flak for its directives that critics say have failed to curb the cases and improve the country’s situation.
He wondered why national government officials only noticed it now.
Better late than never?
“Yan yung sinasabi ko last year pa simula ng Pandemic ? IATF should be composed of medical, health, virus and economic professionals and other related professions for the IATF advisory councils… ?
Bt ngayun nio lang napapansin yan national govt ??? #Enebeyen,” Baltazar posted.
