VP Robredo worries over daughter as COVID 19 cases hit close to home
Vice President Leni Robredo is feeling the presence of COVID 19 cases even more as people she knows have become infected.
This has also led to her to worry about her daughter Tricia, who is a doctor.
In a Facebook post, Robredo said she knows people who have been confined to the ICU and intubated after getting COVID 19.
She decided to check up on how her daughter was doing, and the latter sent her a photo showing her in full PPE.
Robredo said Tricia is not assigned to a COVID 19 ward, but she still worries about her.
But this is nothing compared to what the families of those who are sick and who died from the disease must be feeling, she said.
She called on the public to pray for their comfort, strength, and healing.
She also called for prayers for wisdom and guidance for the country’s policy makers and decision makers.
These are not easy times, but we can weather these together, she said.
May we all see the end of this pandemic!
“This morning, I received reports of several people I know who got infected. Some are in the ICU and one is intubated. It’s really hitting closer and closer to home for most of us. So I messaged my daughter to ask how she is and she sends me this. She’s not even in a covid ward but just seeing patients today. As a parent, I still worry. But this is nothing compared to what the families of those who are sick and those who died must be feeling right now.
Let us pray for their comfort and strength.Let us pray for the healing of all those who are sick and protection for those caring for the sick. Let us also pray for wisdom and guidance for our policy makers and decision makers.
These are very difficult times. But, together, we can get through this,” Robredo posted.
