41 new COVID-19 infections recorded in Bicol

Forty-one new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Bicol Region.

The Department of Health Development-Bicol said that total cumulative cases in the region now stood at 5,174 as of March 22.

Active cases are now at 410, representing 7.92% of all the cases.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

ALBAY: 5 (12.19%)
3 – Legazpi City
1 – Daraga
1 – Ligao City

CAM SUR: 27 (65.85%)
13 – Naga City
4 – Goa
2 – Pili
2 – San Fernando
2 – Tigaon
1 – Buhi
1 – Bombon
1 – Iriga City
1 – Ocampo

SORSOGON: 9 (21.95%)
6 – Sorsogon City
1 – Bulan
1 – Magallanes
1 – Sta. Magdalena

The DOH said the details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

It added that releasing of personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act (R.A. 10173).

There are now 4,530 recoveries while death toll remains 226.
