Albay rolls out COVID-19 vaccines

The province of Albay has recently started rolling out the coronavirus vaccines with frontliners getting the first shots.

Last Friday, the Josefina Belmonte Duran District Hospital (JBDAPH) finally started to conduct the initial COVID-19 vaccination to the priority recipients as prescribed by the Department of Health.

This came after the passing the COVID-19 Simulation Exercise conducted last March 16

According to Provincial Health Officer Dra. Estela Zenit, one hundred percent of the frontliners in JBDAPH signified to be vaccinated.

Around 160 frontliners were vaccinated that day.

JBDAPH Chief-of-Hospital Dr. Randie Asuncion was the first to be vaccinated followed by Senior Resident Doctor Ma. Nimda Joji Quiñones.

“The activity is happening smoothly”, Dr. Zenit said on an interview with the Albay PIO.
