Palawan frontliners to receive COVID-19 jabs on Friday
The Palawan provincial government is set to roll out its COVID-19 vaccines on Friday, with frontliners taking the first jabs.
Frontliners from the Provincial Health Office (PHO), Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), Provincial Jail Management Division (PJMD), BFP Province, and Provincial DepEd.
They will be inoculated with AstraZeneca vaccines which arrived in the province last March 12.
“Samantala, naka-schedule na rin ang vaccination sa Northern Palawan Provincial Hospital na may 142 vaccinees; San Vicente District Hospital na may 99 vaccinees; Bataraza District Hospital na may 87 vaccinees; Quezon Medicare Hospital na may 91 vaccinees; at Dr. Jose Rizal District Hospital na may 86 frontliners na mababakunahan,” said the province.
“Base pa sa datos ng PHO, mayroong nakalaan din na vaccines para sa Rural Health Unit (RHU) ng Taytay, Bataraza, Narra, Coron, Busuanga, Cuyo, Agutaya, at Magsaysay. Kasama rin ang Culion Sanitarium and General Hospital, Coron District Hospital, at Cuyo District Hospital,” it added.
The province received 440 vials of AstraZeneca last March 12, which are equivalent to 4,400 doses. With these, 2,200 individuals will be vaccinated.
