OkSi Rep. Sato’s bill seeking to upgrade SJDH gets House’s final approval

Occidental Mindoro Rep. Josephine Ramirez-Sato’s bill seeking to upgrade the San Jose District Hospital has hurdled the House of Representatives.

Sato’s House Bill 8758 aims to convert the SJDH into Occidental Mindoro General Hospital.

“Matapos pumasa noong nakaraang linggo sa 2nd reading, kahapon ay pormal na pinagbotohan at pinagtibay sa 3rd and final reading ng Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso ang panukalang batas ni Cong. Nene Sato na HB 8758, An Act Converting the San Jose District Hospital in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, into a General Hospital to be known as the Southern Occidental Mindoro General Hospital,” the lawmaker’s office said.

“Layon ng HB 8758 na isaayos ang serbisyo at itaas ang kalidad ng pampublikong pagamutan na ito sa pamamagitan ng pagdagdag sa bed capacity mula 50 ay magiging 200 beds, pagkakaroon ng karagdagang serbisyo at pag-upgrade ng mga equipment at facilities, Pagdagdag ng mga Doktor, Nurses at iba pang support personnel at pagtitiyak ng sapat at regular na taunang pondo para isagawa ang lahat ng mga ito,” it added.

The Senate version of the bill needs to be approved as well in order for it to reach Malacañang for the president’s signature.

Meanwhile, Sato thanked the leadership of the lower House for the support on her bill.

“Salamat po Speaker Lord Allan Jay Velasco at mga kapwa mambabatas sa inyong suporta,” said Sato.
