COVID-19 vaccines reach Bicol Region
A total of 12,000 coronavirus vaccines developed by China’s Sinovac have been delivered to Bicol Region today, March 4.

The Department of Health Development-Bicol said that the vaccines were delivered from Legazpi City Airport to the Vaccine Storage Facility for inventory.
“1st doses of said vaccines will be transported simultaneously to pilot hospitals today,” said the department.
“At least 5,842 frontliners from the 4 pilot hospitals that served as COVID-19 referral hospitals will be the first to receive the vaccines,” it added.
These hospitals are Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH) in Legazpi City, Albay; the Bicol Medical Center (BMC) and Naga Imaging Center Cooperative (NICC) Doctors Hospital in Naga City; and the Bicol Regional General Hospital and Geriatric Medical Center (BRGHGMC) in Cabusao, Camarines Sur.
The national government has rolled out the vaccination program on March 1.
