DPWH fast-tracking completion of farm-to-market road in Pamplona, CamSur

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is fast-tracking the completion of a farm to market road in the Municipality of Pamplona in Camarines Sur.

Once completed, the said infrastructure project is seen to facilitate faster transport of farm produce in Pamplona.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, DPWH Camarines Second District Engineer Ruben S. Santos, Jr. said that the ongoing concreting of a 1-lane kilometer road in Barangay Patong is set for completion this month.

The Barangay Patong FMR Project, with a total allocation of P12 Million is one of the projects undertaken by DPWH Camarines Sur DEO with funding under the Department of Agriculture, the department said.

“This project will not just improve the transport of farm products to market centers but also further stimulate other economic activities and improve access to social services of the people in the province of Camarines Sur,” said Secretary Villar.

In 2020, the DPWH Camarines Sur DEO implemented a total of 126 infrastructure projects, 54 of which were completed.
