DOH-Bicol records 12 new COVID-19 cases
The Department of Health Center for Health Development Bicol has recorded 12 new coronavirus disease cases in the region.
The latest tally pushed the region’s total to 4,638 as of February 16. Active cases are now 561
The distribution of newly reported cases:
ALBAY: 3 (25%)
1 – Legazpi City
1 – Bacacay
1 – Sto. Domingo
CAM SUR: 6 (50%)
3 – Lagonoy
2 – Nabua
1 – Pili
SORSOGON: 3 (25%)
2 – Sorsogon City
1 – Juban
The department said that the details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.
“Releasing of personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act,” the DOH noted.
Meanwhile, total recoveries are now 3,879 after the department recorded nine recoveries yesterday.
Meanwhile, two patients died because of the viral disease. Total death toll is now 198.
One of the patients was from Camarines Norte and the other one was from Camarines Sur.
The DOH also reminded Bicolanos to follow health protocols in order to prevent the further spread of the disease.
