The Sorsogon provincial government reported that more than 1,500 residents have availed themselves of the services of the Malasakit Center since it was opened in Sorsogon Provincial Hospital.

Malasakit Center is a program of the national government in partnership with the provincial government as well as other agencies including PCSO, DSWD, and PhilHealth.

Senator Bong Go recently visited the SPH to check the Malasakit Center. He also turned over the replenish fund amounting to P3.85 million.
