DOH reports 46 new COVID-19 cases in Bicol Region

The Department of Health Center for Health and Development reported 46 new coronavirus disease cases in Bicol Region as of January 20.

The latest tally pushed the region’s total to 4,149. Active cases climbed to 643.

The distribution of newly reported cases:

ALBAY: 0 (0%)

CAM SUR: 7 (15.21%)
3 – Naga City
1 – Del Gallego
1 – San Fernando
1 – San Jose
1 – Sipocot

CATANDUANES: 1 (2.17%)
1 – Bato

MASBATE: 34 (73.91%)
15 – Aroroy
5 – Cawayan
4 – San Jacinto
2 – Masbate City
2 – Milagros
2 – Dimasalang
1 – Baleno
1 – Balud
1 – Batuan
1 – Cataingan

SORSOGON: 4 (8.70%)
2 – Sorsogon City
1 – Bulan
1 – Irosin

The DOH said that details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

Total number of patients who recovered from the disease is now 3,328 after 23 new individuals recovered from the viral illness.

Death toll due to COVID-19 in the region remains 168.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” the DOH said,
