Odiongan LGU begins preparations for COVID-19 vaccine purchase, rollout
Mayor Trina Firmalo-Fabic said that the local government will prepare for the purchase and roll out of coronavirus vaccines in Odiongan.
Mayor Firmalo-Fabic and Vice Mayor Diven Fos Dimaala recently joined a virtual meeting with the representatives of the Health department as well as the Interior department for the procurement of COVID-19 vaccines.
“Dumalo sa isang virtual meeting ngayong hapon sina Vice Governor Felix Ylagan, Mayor Trina Firmalo-Fabic at Vice Mayor Diven Fos Dimaala kasama ang Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Health (DOH) at Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP) kaugnay sa pagbili at pagroll out ng COVID-19 Vaccine,” the mayor’s office said.
In the next few weeks, the Odiongan LGU is expected to procure freezers as well as to conduct series of training for vaccinators.
“Maaasahan na sa mga susunod na linggo ay mag hahanda na ang LGU para sa pag roll out ng vaccines,” said the mayor’s office.
“Kasama na rito ang pag procure ng freezers at iba pang kagamitan na kakailanganin, Training para sa mga magsasagawa ng vaccination, identification ng masterlist ng mga babakunahan base sa prioritization protocol ng DOH, at pag sagawa ng information education campaign tungkol sa bakuna,” it added.
