Sorsogon gears up for reopening of tourism industry

The Sorsogon province is now preparing for the reopening of the tourism industry, which is one of the sectors heavily affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

The Sorsogon Provincial Tourism, Culture and Arts Office is scheduled to hold a forum regarding the reopening of the sector.

“Ang Tourism Stakeholders Forum and Orientation ay gaganapin sa Enero 25, 2021 para sa unang distrito at Enero 26, 2021 naman para sa pangalawang distrito,” the Provincial Capitol said.

Governor Francis “Chiz” Escudero ordered the holding of such forum in order to give information to the public regarding protocols.

“Ayon kay Governor Chiz Escudero, kailangan ang paghahanda at maigiting na pagpapakalat ng tamang impormasyon sa publiko lalo na ukol sa maayos na pagpapatupad ng mga health at safety protocols para hindi mag-aalinlangan ang mga turista na bisitahin ang lalawigan sa napipintong pagbubukas ng turismo ngayong taon,” said the Capitol.

“Kabilang ang iba’t-ibang tourism stakeholders sa buong lalawigan ang dadalo sa dalawang araw na planning forum,” it added.
