The Palawan Sangguniang Panlalawigan is pushing for the conduct of recreational sports activity in low risk areas in the province.

The SP passed Resolution No. 009-21 entitled, “Requesting the National IATF-MEID thru the Provincial IATF to allow recreational sports activities such as basketball, volleyball and other contact sports in areas classified as low risk areas within Palawan.”

One of the principal authors, Second District Board Member Ryan D. Maminta, said that the request meant to revise the Joint Administrative Order No.1 series of 2020 of PSC, GAB and Department of Health.

The said order pertains to guidelines on the conduct of health enhancing physical activities which are prohibited amid the threats of coronavirus disease.
