CamSur Rep. Villafuerte ranks second in most number of bills filed in House
Camarines Sur Rep. Luis Raymund Villafuerte takes pride in becoming one of the top performing lawmakers in terms of numbers of bills filed at the House of Representatives.
Villafuerte ranked second in the most number of bills filed, behind Cagayan de Oro Rep. Rufus Rodriguez.
“Proud to announce that out of over 300 members of congress I’m currently no. 2 over all for most no of bills filed,” he said.
But the CamSur solon said that it is not just the number of bills filed that’s important.
“I’m proud to say I filed innovative bills that have national impact which I principally and originally authored like the e-governance act , Bangko sa Baryo act,” said Villafuerte.
“Among the local bills I’m proud to mention that already passed into law are the establishment of the Bicol women’s and children’s hospital in Pamplona and the Bicol Medical Center Modernization act , pending approval in the Senate is the conversion of BISCAST ( Bicol State college of applied science and technology) into a University,” he added .
Villafuerte also said he authored the Bayanihan 1 and 2 to help the government in its coronavirus disease response.
“I also converted local roads to national roads through an enacted law like the camsur – albay diversion road ( San Fernando , camsur – Albay ),” he said.
