DOH Bicol records 11 new COVID-19 cases


The Department of Health Center of Health Development Bicol has reported 11 new coronavirus disease cases in the region as of January 3.

The latest number pushed the total COVID-19 cases in Bicol to 3,679. Meanwhile, total active cases are now 493.

The distribution of newly reported cases:

ALBAY: 3 (27.27%)
2 – Oas*
1 – Legazpi City*

CAM SUR: 7 (63.64%)
3 – Pili
2 – Naga City
1 – Baao
1 – Cabusao

SORSOGON: 1 (9.09%)
1 – Sorsogon City*

The DOH said that details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

Death toll due to the viral illness remains 151.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” said the department.

“Let us follow the BIDA Solusyon sa COVID-19 para sa Serbisyong Salud Bikolnon,” it added.
