Ready for the new year! Calapan Mayor Arnan Panaligan made sure the city would have funds for 2021
Calapan Mayor Arnan Panaligan did not end 2020 without signing the city’s 2021 budget.
Calapan’s budget for the coming year amounts to P938.79 million and aims to jumpstart the city’s economy after the lengthy quarantine, Panaligan said in a Facebook post.
The budget would fund essential social programs in health, housing and education to lift people out of poverty and improve their quality of life.
It will also be for infrastructure projects that aim to boost local economic development and generate employment, he said.
Calapan is ready for 2021!
“On the last working day of the year, I signed and approved the Fiscal Year 2021 General Fund Annual Budget of the City Government of Calapan amounting to PhP 983,790,525.80 that was passed by the Sangguniang Panlungsod. This is a development oriented budget that aims to jumpstart the city’s local economy after the long pandemic quarantine. This budget provides for essential social programs in health, housing and education as a means of fighting poverty and enhancing the quality of life of the people. This budget also prioritizes infrastructure projects that will boost local economic development and generate employment.
