Oriental Mindoro SP extends real estate tax amnesty until mid-2021
The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Oriental Mindoro has extended the real estate tax amnesty until mid-2021.
During the 69th Regular Session of the 10th Sangguniang Panlalawigan, led by Vice Gov. Atty. CA Jojo Perez, the
Ordinance No. 013-2020 was approved by the members.
The said measure is entitled: “Ordinance Extending the Period to Avail of the Real Property Tax Amnesty by Delinquent Taxpayers in Oriental Mindoro under Ordinance Non 110-2020 due to the State of Calamity in the Province, up to June 30, 202, subject to all applicable laws, rules and regulations”
“Matatandaan na sa bisa ng Ordinance No. 110-2020 na ipinasa rin ng 10th SP, ang mga delinquent taxpayers ay ginawaran ng 100% condonation para sa hindi nababayarang Real Property Tax on all lands, buildings and other real property na matatagpuan sa lalawigan,” the office of the Vice Governor said.
“Sakop ng nasabing kondonasyon ang unpaid real property taxes as of December 31, 2019 and/or prior years. Subalit, ito ay maaari lamang ma-avail simula May 1, 2020 at nagtapos noong November 30, 2020,” it added.
This is the reason why the Council passed another ordinance extending the Real Property Tax Amnesty until June 30, 2021.
“Hangad ng mga Miyembro ng 10th SP na sa ganitong paraan ay maibsan kahit papaano ang hirap na patuloy pinapasan ng mga Oriental Mindoreño sa gitna ng krisis dulot ng COVID-19 pandemic at mga nagdaang bagyo,” said Perez’s office.
