Albay VG Lagman graces webinar on mobility, future of transportation

Albay Vice Governor Edcel Grex Lagman has served as a speaker for the 6th Info-Series focused on capacity-building in urban and rural localities.

“Minsan kunwari ‘geniosity’ tayo. Pa-English-English. Pa-intelektwal kuno. Para ganito ang peg, kailangan mag-Webinar! But, seriously, i am looking forward to future partnerships with embassies abroad. Especially of countries in Europe like Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands who are world leaders in designing cities as well as rural areas as being bicycle-friendly,” said Lagman.

The politiko said that the seminar is geared in helping implement the Albay Active Transport Ordinance.

“Thank you, Arnold and Sheina, for making me a part of this worthwhile endeavor. And, with apologies to Ka Freddie, ‘I want to ride my bicycle!’ Now. As in now na,” he said.

Lagman shared that Marianne Weinreich – Chairperson of the Cycling Embassy of Denmark discussed the right tools and key processes in creating a system that is centered on moving people.

“Honored to have been a speaker in this session representing the Provincial Government of Albay as we work towards the implementation of the ‘Albay Active Transport Ordinance of 2020,” he said.

“In the province, leaders and stakeholders are advocating dedicated bike lanes and viable pedestrian pathwalks for the sustained mobility of Albayanos led by Governor Al Francis Bichara,” he also said.
