Town hit by supertyphoon Yolanda comes to aid of Guinobatan, says Mayor Ann Gemma Ongjoco
This is a helping hand from one survivor to another.
Guinobatan Mayor Ann Gemma Ongjoco thanked the local government of Tanuan, Leyte for coming to the aid of her town after it was devastated by a recent calamity.
Tanauan was one of the Leyte towns that were badly hit by supetyphoon Yolanda.
In a Facebook post, Ongjoco said Tanauan donated P200,000 to Guinobatan for relief efforts for the victims of typhoon Rolly.
She expressed her gratitude for Tanauan’s compassion.
Tanauan used to be in Guinobatan’s position, and we’re sure it was happy to be the one helping out now!
“Donation of PhP 200,000.00 given by LGU – Tanauan Leyte for the relief operation of the Municipality of Guinobatan for the victims of Typhoon Rolly.
Maraming salamat po sa inyong malasakit,” Ongjoco posted.
