The Palawan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office is now gearing up to strengthen its disaster management program in 2021.

In his speech at the Palawan del Sur Conference, PDRRM Officer Jeremias Y. Alili said they will conduct ladderized training in barangays in order to expand the network of Disaster Risk Reduction Management volunteers.

The training will include First Aid Training, Evacuation Management, Proper River Crossing, Fire Fighting, among other.

Alili said that the disaster response of Palawan needs to keep up with the development of the province.

“That is protecting development… Nilalagyan natin ng kalasag ang ating development” he added.
