Albay VG Lagman says Rep. Edcel donates P14M worth of GI sheets
Albay Vice Governor Edcel Grex Lagman said that his father and namesake Rep. Edcel Lagman has donated P14 million worth of GI sheets for Albayanos who have been deeply affected by the recent calamities.
“My dad has never put his name in any public infrastructure project in his district. No commemorative brass plates embedded in covered courts, barangay halls, school buildings, bridges and dikes. No fanfare,” the vice governor said.
“That’s why back in 2012 i reported to him my personal knowledge of some enterprising politicians claiming the projects he has funded as theirs. Kase nga, walang mga pangalan na effort niya. Still, he hasn’t changed his way of doing his job. Still, no effort to seek credit,” he added.
The younger Lagman said it is now the time to dispel reports that the solon has not lifted a finger to help his constituents in Albay’s 1st District, he
“So, para po sa impormasyon kan lambang Albayano, Cong. Edcel bought 14 million pesos worth of high grade G.I. sheets for distribution to our common constituents whose homes were totally damaged in the 1st District of Albay,” said the vice governor.
“He used his own private funds to buy these G.I. sheets. Not the government’s money; not money from private individuals nor from corporate donors. His own. Because he wants to help our beloved constituents. Thanks po, papa Cong. Edcel,” he added.
