Gov. Bichara: Christmas will be ‘more meaningful’ for Albay Family Christmas Bazaar beneficiaries
Governor Al Francis Bichara told the beneficiaries of Albay Family Christmas Bazaar that this Christmas season will be “more meaningful” for them.
According to the Capitol, hundreds of Albayano families will benefit the Albay Family Christmas Bazaar which is happening at BUTC Lagman Auditorium starting nDecember 10 to December 11.
“To make it more meaningful to Albayanos especially in this season, Albay Governor Al Francis C. Bichara through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), came up with this exciting and unique event to at least alleviate the circumstances brought about by recent typhoons which hit the province,” the Capitol said.
For this initiative, instead of traditionally bringing them the relief goods, all participating families will be given fairly an exact P1500 play money bills in exchange of their own chosen needs.
“There will be rice, hygiene kits, used clothes and all other basic needs available which is handed by the Provincial Government and all other private agencies or companies,” said the provincial government..
Residents of Malilipot and Tabaco City were the first to conduct their shopping today.
Tomorrow, it would be the turn of residents from municipalities of Malinao and Tiwi respectively.
“To also secure that this event might not cause the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, all precautionary measures and protocols were being followed,” said the Capitol.
