Gov. Villafuerte thanks DTI for providing sewing machines to CamSur residents

Camarines Sur residents reeling from the effects of recent calamities have received livelihood assistance from the Trade department.

CamSur Governor Miguel Villafuerte thanked the Department of Trade and Industry for their support to the residents.

“Napakaraming nawalan ng kabuhayan ngayong panahon ng pandemya kaya naman kami nina Cong. Lray, patuloy sa paghahanap ng solusyon upang matugunan ang problemang ito,” said the governor.

“Salamat po sa DTI, kay PD Edna Tejada ng DTI Camsur, sa pagtugon sa aming request na mabigyan ng sewing machines ang mga livelihood beneficiaries mula sa iba’t ibang panig ng probinsya,” he added.

Villafuerte said that the livelihood assistance was just the first batch.

“Unang batch pa lang po ito ng mga nabigyan ng sewing machines, marami pang susunod. Ang Kapitolyo ay may libreng pa-training pa sa pananahi at kapital upang makasimula ng negosyo ang mga qualified beneficiaries sa ilalim ng Ka Fuerte Livelihood Assistance Program,” he added.

Meanwhile, Villafuerte also led the relief distribution in Tinambac.
