VP Robredo sends team to help elderly couple who lost their home to a fire

Tagging Vice President Leni Robredo in a Facebook post brought much-needed help for an elderly couple.

Robredo sent a team to help Lolo Ventio and Lola Inyang in Goa, Camarines Sur after their lost their house and all their belongings to a fire.

In a Facebook post, Robredo said she learned of the couple’s plight when she was tagged in the comments section of a Facebook post on their condition.

She sent a team to look for them and to bring them food, water, and other items.

The trek to the couple’s place wasn’t easy, but the team found them.

The VP shared photos of the couple to show they are well, although they still need more help.

She said Lolo Ventio and Lola Inyang cried out of happiness and did not want the team to leave.

But the team promised to be back to help them.

This shows that Facebook comments can be used for good, instead of just for trolling!

“Last Sunday, I was tagged in the comments section of a facebook post about an elderly couple in Goa, Camarines Sur who lost their house and everything they had to a fire. I asked our team to look for them and they did it today.

It was raining and the roads were muddy. The trek was uphill but they found them!!

To everyone who shared that facebook post, here are pictures of Lolo Ventio and Lola Inyang taken just today. They are both well. Our team brought them food, water and other things. They need more help and we will see whatever else we can help them with.

Our team said both Lolo Ventio and Lola Inyang were crying buckets because they were so happy. When it was time for them to leave, they were still begging them to stay. They promised them they will be back,” Robredo posted.
