All levels! CamSur Gov. Villafuerte suspends classes until November 21
Camarines Sur Governor Miguel Villafuerte has suspended the classes in the province until November 21 to give the students and the teachers time to recover in the wake of recent calamities.
“Classes in all levels (both public and private) remain suspended until November 2021,” the governor’s memorandum read.
Villafuerte also told the teachers tio used the time to deal with the damage brought by the recent typhoons and to prioritize the preparation of printed and other study materials.
“Effective November 23, 2020, where areas are still affected by power disruption and weak or lack of internet connection, it is advised that classes should shift in Modular Distance Learning through the use of printed materials until power and internet connection become stable,” the memo further read.
Camarines Sur was one of the provinces heavily affected by the recent calamities. In a span of less than two weeks, CamSur faced Typhoon Quinta, Rolly and Ulysses.
Several provinces in Bicol are also reeling from the effects of the strong typhoons including Catanduanes and Albay. Thousands of Bicolanos have been displaced.
