CamSur Rep. LRay vows to push for bigger calamity fund for 2021
Camarines Sur Rep. Luis Raymund “LRay” Villafuerte vowed to push for a bigger calamity fund for 2021.
Villafuerte made the statement after recent typhoons, particularly Supertyphoon Rolly, ravaged Bicol Region, including his province.
The CamSur lawmaker said that there should be an adequate budget for repair and rehabilitation for the infrasstructure damaged by Rolly.
“Ipaglalaban ko sa kongreso na dagdagan Ang calamity fund from the 2021 budget para mapabilis at magkaruon ng Mas mataas na pondo para sa repair and rehabilitation ng mga damaged infrastructures due to super typhoon Rolly, said the solon.
“Dapat din mag lagay ng pondo para sa emergency shelter assistance as mga totally at partially damaged homes sa Bicol na libo libo and apektado,” he added.
The House of Representatives has already approved their version of the P4.5 trillion 2021 general appropriations fund.
The Senate, on the other hand, will begin deliberation on the 2021 national budget tomorrow.
