BM Arevalo reminds Masbateños to follow COVID-19 health protocols

Masbate Senior Provincial Board Member Jason Arevalo asked Masbateños to follow health protocols amid the alarming increase of coronavirus cases in the province.

Arevalo noted that recent typhoons forced Masbatenos to just stay at home, and yet COVID-19 cases continue to rise.

“The three typhoons the past twelve days had kept us at home. Social interaction was minimal. That barring, Masbate has got more Covid cases coming,” he said.

Based on the November 7 data of the Department of Health Bicol, active cases in Masbate rose to 82 as it recorded 16 new cases yesterday.

“We appeal to our fellow Masbatenos. Please heed the call of our authorities. Please be serious in practicing the required minimum safety standards,” said the local politiko.

“Wear masks and face shields. Wash hands. Avoid crowded and confined spaces. Go out only when necessary but have protection always,” he added.

He also said: “We need not be reminded. The shortest distance between the virus and your home is you.”
