OkSi Rep. Sato attends Commission on Appointments virtual hearing

Occidental Mindoro Rep. Josephine Ramirez Sato has recently attended the virtual meeting of the Commission on Appointments.

“…[A]ng ating Cong. Nene Sato ay lumahok sa confirmation hearings at ginampanan ang kanyang tungkulin bilang isa sa mga miyembro ng Commission on Appointments (CA) mula sa kanyang tahanan sa San Jose,” the solon’s office said.

The commission tackled the ad interim appointment of Sec. Eduardo Del Rosario as Secretary of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD).

“Nagkaroon din ng pagdinig para sa Appointments ng 6 na Ambassadors, 1 Chief of Mission at 6 na Foreign Service Officers ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA),” Sato’s office said.

The ambassadors are as follows:

1. Maria Amelita Cunanan Aquino (Kingdom of Cambodia)
2. Frank Revil Cimafranca (Republic of Hungary, with concurrent jurisdiction over Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Bulgaria, Montenegro, Romania, the Republic of Serbia, and the Republic of Moldova)
3. Meynardo Los Baños Montealegre (Socialist Republic of Vietnam)
4. Giovanni Endencia Palec (Greece, with concurrent jurisdiction over the Republic of Cyprus)
5. Macairog Sabiniano Alberto (State of Israel)
6. Mohd. Noordin Pendosina Noor Lomondot (State of Kuwait)

“Ang Panghuling hearing ay sa Appointments ng 15 AFP Generals and Flag Officers sa pamumuno ni Major General Jose Niembra, ang kasalukyang pinuno sa Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP),” said Sato’s office.

“Nagpasya ang CA na magkaroon ng isa pang hearing para sa appointment ni Sec. Del Rosario upang magkaroon ng sapat na pagkakataon ang mga Kongresista at Senador para makapaglahad ng kanilang mga tanong sa Kalihim,” it added.
