Bicol’s COVID-19 cases climb to 1,745

The coronavirus disease cases in Bicol Region have climbed to 1,745 as of September 19, the Health department announced.

The DOH recorded 16 new COVID-19 cases yesterday. Active cases are now 442.

The breakdown of the new cases is as follows:

CAM SUR: 14 (87.50%)
– Naga City – 8
– Baao – 2
– Calabanga – 1
– Canaman – 1
– Lagonoy – 1
– Pili – 1

SORSOGON: 2 (12.50%)
– Sorsogon City – 1
– Juban – 1

“Details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs,” said the DOH.

Meanwhile, total recoveries in the region are now 1,240. Death toll remain 63.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” the Health department said.
