Need a job? VP Robredo is here to help
Vice President Leni Robredo started with helping frontline workers get to their jobs amid the pandemic by providing transportation and dorm rooms for them.
Now she is helping people find jobs.
Robredo launched her Bayanihanapbuhay project, which is intended to help those who lost their jobs.
In a Facebook post, she said she worked with Sikap. PH to put up a platform that those who are looking jobs and those who are looking for workers could use free of charge.
According to her, she embarked on the project after getting calls for help from those who lost their livelihood.
Some of the passengers in her office’s shuttle services were doing door-to-door job applications, she said.
With the new platform, job hunting would be easier, she said.
So far, there have been 2,796 job postings, she said.
She thanked the companies that had joined the initiative.
Let’s hope more jobs come and more people are hired!
“We are launching today our new initiative, BAYANIHANAPBUHAY. This is our response to help those who lost their jobs.
We have partnered with Sikap. PH to put up a platform which those who need jobs and those who need workers can use free of charge.
We have been receiving a lot of SOS messages of people looking for work. When we were doing our shuttle services, we had passengers who were doing door-to-door job applications. We hope that, through this platform, they would have an easier time finding work opportunities.
As of now, we already have 2,796 job postings. Thank you to our partners who immediately responded to our call: EMS Services Philippines, Inc. (ESPI), D.M. Consunji, Inc., Lots’a Pizza, Concentrix, Empire East Land Holdings, AECOM Philippines, GET Philippines, McBride Corporation, Omni Petroleum Corp, Solarwinds Software Asia PTE LTD – Philippines Branch. In the coming days, we hope to post more job openings as we continue to invite more partners to join our bayanihan efforts.
