Albay Gov. Bichara leads health crisis management meeting
Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara has led the joint meeting of the Provincial Health Council and Provincial Health Office yesterday, September 8, at the Albay Astrodome.
In the said meeting, the governor discussed better plans to implement in order to control and mitigate the COVID-19 spread in the province.
“Gov. Bichara eyes to create a microbiological testing laboratory in the province as well as acquire more throat testing kits in order to achieve timely results of COVID tests,” the provincial government said.
“PGA is also set to create additional isolation and quarantine facilities and hospital supplies. Augmentation of medical workforce was tackled during the meeting,” it added.
The local chief executive also mulls giving rewards to COVID-free barangays in Albay.
“Gov. Bichara also promotes unity and cooperation among Albayanos to follow health protocols by rewarding barangays that are COVID- free,” he said.
