The Albay provincial government with the help of the Department of Social Welfare and Authority has established an additional quarantine facility.

“In our continuous fight to combat the COVID-19 virus, the PGA, has designated and readied an additional Quarantine Facility to accommodate COVID-19 patients to aid their recovery with the help of the Department of Social Welfare and Development,” the provincial Capitol said.

The new facility is a two-story building containing well-ventilated rooms that can house a total of 36 beds.

The quarantine facility is located beside the Albay Provincial Rehabilitation Center at Tula-Tula, Ligao City.

Just recently the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) of Albay, headed by Gov. Al Francis Bichara allotted additional P7 million for the construction of COVID-19 facilities and medical equipment.

The budget was realigned from the P10.4-million fund of the 2021 Peace and Order and Public Safety Plan in order to provide and supply more hospital needs and establish more quarantine facilities in the province.

“The PPOC also reported that the monthly crime rate in the province continues to drop to 20.13% from 32.40% last year from January to August,” the Capitol said.
