Ako Bicol Rep. Co provides ‘walkers’ to two seniors from Legazpi City
Ako Bicol partylist Rep. Zaldy Co has provided walkers to two senior citizens from Legazpi City.
Rep. Co has personally turned over the walkers to Eufemia and Salvacion Arimado, who hail from Estanza, Legazpi City.
“Patuloy ang pakikipag-ugnayan ni Cong. Zaldy sa Department of Health upang patuloy na matulungan ang mga Bicolanong nangangailangan,” the Ako Bicol partylist said.
“Bakas ang kasiyahan sa mukna nina Eufemia at Salvacion matapos tanggapin ang walkers na gagabay sa kanilang pagtayo at muling paglakad,” it added.
Meanwhile, just recently the target beneficiaries of Ako Bicol’s “Tabang sa Edukasyon” program, in cooperation with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), attended the final orientation prior to receiving educational assistance.
The latest batch of 180 beneficiaries from the Municipalities of San Fernando, Batuan, San Jacinto and Monreal, Masbate, joined the orientation.
Under the ‘Tabang Sa Edukasyon’ program, funding will be provided by Ako Bicol party-list through DSWD. But before releasing funds for educational assistance, each beneficiary is required to undergo interview and assessment.
“We initiated this project to help poor but deserving students to continue their studies,” said the partylist.
