CamSur Gov. Villafuerte extends assistance to Iriga residents thru DOLE’s TUPAD program
Camarines Sur Governor Miguel Villafuerte has distributed aid to the residents in Iriga through the displaced workers’ assistance program of the Department of Labor and Employment.
Villafuerte said that those who were not able to get aid from the government’s Social Amelioration Program were given assistance through DOLE’s TUPAD.
TUPAD refers to the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD), a program of the Labor department.
TUPAD is a community-based package of assistance of the Labor department that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers, for a minimum period of 10 days, but not to exceed a maximum of 30 days
Villafuerte vowed that the provincial government will continue to provide assistance to CamSur residents while the country battles the coronavirus disease 2019.
