Wag kami! Sorsogon Gov. Chiz Escudero fumes over DOH claim of sudden 38,000 recoveries
Sorsogon Gov. Chiz Escudero is definitely not buying the Department of Health’s latest tactic to make COVID 19 numbers look better.
In a Facebook post, Escudero noted that after the DOH recorded the highest one day number of new positive cases at 3,954, it reported a recovery of 38,075 after adjustments.
It said the mild and asymptomatic cases were re-tagged as recovered with endorsement from the regional offices, which resulted in additional recoveries.
Escudero said tis was an “Only in the Philippines” move that he found “intolerable and insulting.”
These all fall on the shoulders of Health Secretary Francisco Duque, who should go, he said.
He appealed to the President to fire the DOH Secretary, saying Filipinos deserve better.
This isn’t the first time officials called for Duque’s head, though.
Will the President listen to Escudero?
