Odiongan Vice Mayor Diven Dimaala still has qualms about motorcycle barriers
By August, authorities will be strictly implementing the rule requiring plastic shields and barriers for motorcycle riders with passengers.
The proposal had met with concern that these could affect the balance of the riders and cause accidents.
It looks like Odiongan Vice Mayor Diven Dimaala shares the worry.
In a Facebook post, Dimaala shared photos of the prototypes approved by the government.
He said he was praying that these would not add to the 31,279 motorcycle crashes that took place in 2019.
The Philippines has enough problems amid the pandemic; we don’t need more!
“Come August 1 2020,motorcycle riding couples will have to strictly comply with the regulations of the Joint Task Force for Covid Shield.
They have to use either of the two shield or barrier prototypes approved by the government.
We are praying🙏 that this strategy will not add to the 31,279 motorcycle crashes in 2019.
#ServiceWithAHeart💙,” Dimaala posted.
