Concrete steel when it comes to bridges, says Albay Rep. Fernando Cabredo

Albay Rep. Fernando Cabredo is glad that the steel bridge in Tagpo, Ligao City will get a much needed makeover.
In a Facebook post, Cabredo said the steel bridge becomes slippery when wt, which is why the Ligao-Pioduran Road has become an accident prone area.
But the Department of Public Works and Highways has started construction of a detour road, he said.
This would allow the steel bridge to be replaced by a concrete one, he added.

This steel bridge in Tagpo, Ligao City and along the Ligao-Pioduran Road is an accident prone area.
Thanks to DPWH as construction of detour is now on the works and the steel bridge shall soon be replaced with a new concrete and expanded bridge,” Cabredo posted.
