Albay gov’t touts significant accomplishments

The Albay provincial government has touted the significant accomplishments it has received for the past year.
The list of the accolades is as follows:
¤ Albay Provincial Agriculture Office (APAO)
▪︎Excellent Award – Department of Agriculture
¤ Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO)
▪︎1 Provincial Award, 3 Regional Award – DSWD
¤ Provincial Accounting
▪︎ Outstanding Accounting Office – Association of Government Accountants in the Philippines
¤ Albay Public Safety and Emergency Management Office (APSEMO)
▪︎ Dangal ng Bayan Award – Civil Service Commission
“Thank you very much and Congratulations to all the harworking people behind the success and the fulfillment of our mission. Good governance and public service for the people of Albay,” the provincial government said.
Adding to the list of achievements is the “unqualified opinion” it received from the Commission on Audit.
“From the report sent by COA Regional Director received last July 13, 2020, The Commission on Audit (COA) rendered an UNQUALIFIED OPINION on the fairness of presentation of financial statements of the Provincial Government of Albay for the CY ended December 31, 2019,” Governor Al Francis Bichara said.
“An UNQUALIFIED OPINION has been given by COA to the Provincial Government of Albay for four (4) consecutive years – 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. It is the highest audit rating that can be rendered by an auditor after concluding that the financial statements of the audited entity are presented fairly and in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles,” he added.
