Bicol records 14 new COVID-19 cases; Region’s total now at 258

Coronavirus disease cases in Bicol Region continue to rise, with 14 more patients added last night to the growing list.

The Department of Health Center for Health Development (DOH CHD) – Bicol said total number of COVID-19 cases recorded in Bicol Region is now 258 as of July 17.

Active cases in the region are 144.

Of the 14 new cases, three are from Catanduanes, five are from Masbate, five from Camarines Sur, and one from Albay.

The DOH data showed that the municipalities of Gigmoto in Catanduanes and Goa in Camarines Sur recorded its first cases.

The breakdown is as follows:

• Bicol#245 – a 61-year old Filipino male from Virac, Catanduanes. He arrived from Silang, Cavite on July 5, 2020. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility.

• Bicol#246 – a 24-year old Filipino male from Gigmoto, Catanduanes. He arrived from Quezon City on July 10, 2020. He first experienced symptoms on July 12, 2020. He is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility. Bicol#246 is a security guard.

• Bicol#247 – a 19-year old Filipino female from Gigmoto, Catanduanes. She arrived from Quezon City on July 11, 2020. She is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility.

• Bicol#248 – an 18-year old Filipino male from Batuan, Masbate. He arrived from Quezon City on June 26, 2020. He had an exposure to Bicol#174, Bicol#175, Bicol#176 and Bicol#177. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility. Bicol#248 is a construction worker.

• Bicol#249 – a 29-year old Filipino male from Batuan, Masbate. He arrived from Caloocan on June 26, 2020. He had an exposure to Bicol#174, Bicol#175, Bicol#176 and Bicol#177. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility.

• Bicol#250 – a 24-year old Filipino male from Batuan, Masbate. He arrived from Quezon City on June 26, 2020. He had an exposure to Bicol#174, Bicol#175, Bicol#176 and Bicol#177. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility.

• Bicol#251 – a 20-year old Filipino female from Batuan, Masbate. She arrived from Bulacan on June 26, 2020. She had an exposure to Bicol#174, Bicol#175, Bicol#176 and Bicol#177. She is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility. Bicol#251 is a household helper.

• Bicol#252 – a 32-year old Filipino male from Batuan, Masbate. He arrived from Tondo, Manila on June 26, 2020. He had an exposure to Bicol#174, Bicol#175, Bicol#176 and Bicol#177. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility. Bicol#252 is a delivery man.

• Bicol#253 – a 25-year old Filipino male from San Jose, Camarines Sur. He arrived from Tondo, Manila on June 20, 2020. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility.

• Bicol#254 – a 27-year old Filipino housewife from Baao, Camarines Sur. She is a close contact of Bicol#216. She first experienced symptoms on June 29, 2020. She is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility.

• Bicol#255 – a 37-year old Filipino male from Baao, Camarines Sur. He arrived from Taguig City on June 22, 2020. He is a close contact of Bicol#216. He first experienced symptoms on July 11, 2020. He is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility. Bicol#255 is a seafarer.

• Bicol#256 – a 33-year old Filipino female from Goa, Camarines Sur. She arrived from Taguig on July 10, 2020. She is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility.

• Bicol#257 – a 49-year old Filipino housewife from Baao, Camarines Sur. She is a close contact of Bicol#216. Her onset of illness is for verification. She is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility.

• Bicol#258 – a 27-year old Filipino male from Legazpi City, Albay. His date of arrival from Germany is for verification. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility in the city. Bicol#258 is a seafarer.
