Albay Capitol, doctors discuss new normal health services guideline
The Albay provincial government has initiated a meeting with the stakeholders in the medical sector in order to discuss the” new normal” health services guidelines.
Present during the meeting were the chief medical doctors of private hospitals, representatives of the Department of Health V, heads from the Provincial Government of Albay and some rural health unit officers.
Also in attendance were the officials of the Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH) administration, being the only COVID-19 hospital in Albay.
“New normal service guideline includes a new set of schedule accommodating non-COVID patients and allotment of more rooms for COVID-related cases,” the provincial government said.
According to the province, the meeting focused on the following matters in line with the new normal service guideline: Strengthening referral system, allocating a separate facility for asymptomatic COVID-19 patients, augmenting health care workers and capacitating district hospitals.
The meeting was held today at the Albay Astrodome.
