Five million thanks! VP Robredo lauds success of Pasig community mart
Vice President Leni Robredo is overjoyed by the success of her and the Pasig government’s project to help City market vendors and tricycle drivers.
Robredo said on Facebook that the Community Mart at the Pasig Mega Market hit P5 million in sales on its 45th day of operations.
This means market vendors and tricycle drivers earned more during the quarantine.
The project involves connecting buyers with vendors through an online app, with the orders delivered by the tricycle drivers.
Robredo thanked all those who supported the program, including Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto and his team who she said led the way through its empowering, empathic and ethical leadership.
More partnerships to come?
“We hit another milestone with our Community Mart at the Pasig Mega Market. We hit P5M today, our 45th day of operations!!! This means more income for our vendors and tricycle drivers.
Thank you for your support. Thank you to Mayor Vico Sotto and his entire team. Pasig City has really led the way through its empowering, empathic and ethical leadership,” Robredo posted.
