Marinduque willing to accept locally stranded individuals
The province of Marinduque announced that its doors are open and they are willing to accept their kababayans who are Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs).
“The 2 week moratorium or suspension of the entry of LSIs applies only to regions 6, 8, Cariaga and Cebu province and not to Marinduque,” the Capitol said.
The Province said that returnees are allowed provided that they undergo PRC testing and 14-day mandatory quarantine.
“OFWs and ROFs are allowed entry to Marinduque provided they are tested negative using the PCR test and has undergone a 14 day quarantine prior to entry in Marinduque,” said the province.
“Upon arrival, they will be subjected to a rapid test and another 14-day quarantine in the place designated by the receiving LGU. Please be guided accordingly,” it added
Governor Presby Velasco also appealed to his constituents to follow health protocols amid the threats of coronavirus.
“Hindi pa po tapos ang laban sa COVID 19. Sumunod po tayo sa quarantine rules upang maiwasan ang pagkalat ng sakit sa ating bayan. Bawal pa ring lumabas maliban sa APOR o authorized persons outside their residence,” said the Governor.
