Occidental Mindoro Rep. Josephine Ramirez-Sato has spearheaded the distribution of the emergency shelter assistance and cash for work payout to the residents of San Jose.

Sato said that her office and the Department of Social Welfare and Development are coordinating in order to distribute similar assistance to the residents.

Sato also hopes that the financial assistance would be enough to help the Ursula-hit residents to get by and stand up again.

“Umaasa po ako na ang PhP 30,000 shelter assistance para sa repair ng mga kabahayan at ang PhP 2,400 cash for work ay makakatulong upang maibsan ang pinsala at dalamhati na dinulot ng bagyong Ursula,” said the solon.

“Maraming salamat po sa inyong kooperasyon at pang unawa,” she added.
