Legazpi City resident becomes 93rd COVID-19 case in Bicol


Bicol Region recorded its 93rd coronavirus case last night after a Legazpi City resident tested positive for the dreaded disease.

The Department of Health Center for Health Development–Bicol reported one new confirmed case COVID-19. last night, bringing the the total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases recorded the region isto 93.

Active cases are now fourteen.

“A 21-year old Filipino female from Legazpi City, Albay who had a history of travel from Muntinlupa is the 93rd confirmed case of COVID-19. She arrived in Legazpi City on June 24, 2020. Said patient is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility,” the DOH said.

Meanwhile, the DOH appealed to the Bicolanos to remain vigilant and observe health measures amid the threat of the viral disease.

“The public is strongly advised to strictly follow community quarantine procedures as well as precautionary measures including proper hand washing, social distancing, cough etiquette, disinfection of commonly used objects, use of facemask, healthy lifestyle and to stay at home,” the DOH said.

“Everyone’s cooperation is crucial in this time of crisis,” it added.
