Gov. Bichara assures 548 locally stranded persons can return to Albay
The Provincial Government of Albay has assured that the 548 locally stranded individuals who are can now return to the province.
Governor Al Francis Bichara spearheaded yesterday the Albay Provincial Peace and Order Council Meeting (PPOC) at the Albay Astrodome, where the council assured the safe and protected arrival of the 548 locally stranded Albayanos registered from Baclaran Church on June 5.
T”hrough the program, “Albay Libreng Sakay,” PGA has assured free food and travel assistance to these residents. The LGUs will coordinate and receive the residents accordingly,” said the Capitol.
“Medical and health protocol will be highly implemented throughout the transportation. This includes conduct of rapid testing and an examination of their travel history and health condition.,” it added
During the meeting, Provincial Administrator Engr. Ma. Vida Corazon Prollamante said that the Albay government has assisted 2, 386 stranded individuals both from overseas and outside Bicol with utmost protection and health care.
“As the province is now placed under Modified General Community Quarantine via IATF Resolution No. 41, the PGA has now designated 1, 030 total capacity quarantine facilities amid the crisis,” said the Capitol
