Occidental Mindoro Capitol extends help to Magsaysay town after 26 DPWH workers tested positive for COVID

The Provincial Government of Occidental Mindoro has provided extra manpower to the Magsaysay town where 26 construction workers of the Department of Public Works and Highways tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

“Sa paglabas ng malungkot na balita hinggil sa 26 DPWH construction workers na nagpositibo sa COVID-19 sa bayan ng Magsaysay, ang Pamahalaang Panlalawigan, sa pamamagitan ng medical team ng San Jose District Hospital ay nagbigay ng manpower assistance sa pamamahala ng Swab Testing sa close contacts ng mga nasabing trabahador,” said the Capitol.

“Sa pangunguna ni Dra. Anna Monica Bracamonte, ang San Jose District Hospital ay nagpadala ng dalawang Medical Technologists, dalawang Nurses, at isang Institutional Worker bilang katuwang ng MHO-Magsaysay sa pagsa-swab test sa mga close contacts,” it added.

The San Jose District Hospital also donated personal protective equipment to the Rural Health Unit staff and members of the PNP, mouthwash, hand soaps and vitamins for quarantined workers.

Last Friday, the Occidental Mindoro provincial government reported that 26 construction workers of the Department of Public Works and Highways tested positive for coronavirus disease.

“26 sa 51 na construction worker na nagtatrabaho sa isang proyekto ng DPWH sa bayan ng Magsaysay ang nagpositibo sa COVID-19,” the Provincial Government said.
