Legazpi City resident is Bicol’s 73rd COVID-19 case
A resident of Legazpi City in Albay became the 73rd confirmed case of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Department of Health Center for Health Development – Bicol reported.
“Confirmed cases of COVID-19 recorded in Bicol Region is now seventy-three (73),” the Health department said.
The 73rd confirmed case of COVID-19 is a 32-year old Filipino male from Legazpi City, Albay. He has a history of travel from Cavite and Laguna.
He arrived in Legazpi City last May 25. The patient is asymptomatic and is currently on quarantine at Legazpi City Community Health Quarantine.
The DOH-CBD also appealed to the public to follow Health protocols in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the region.
“The public is strongly advised to strictly follow community quarantine procedures as well as precautionary measures including proper hand washing, social distancing, cough etiquette, disinfection of commonly used objects, healthy lifestyle and to stay at home. Everyone’s cooperation is crucial in this time of crisis,” said the department.
